DEMONS (PART II)

Who can be attacked by demons? Anyone who’s entire character has not come under control of the Holy Spirit. This is why we are to put on the whole Armor of God. Without the whole armor, a demon or evil spirit can attach itself to parts of our personality. Even Christians are subject to demonic attack.

Throughout the Bible…. men, women, children, and even animals where said to have demons. Demons have power and the powers can vary. From providing unbelievable strength to seeing future events, the Bible shows us how those that have demons are able to do things normal people are not. Throughout the Bible it is shown how demons have physical effects on those that have demons. From palsy and epilepsy to deaf, dumb, and lunacy, demons can affect your physical body as well as your mental. Examples of how they affect a person’s physical body are evident throughout the Bible. The demons vary and so the affects they can have on you physically also vary. There are many different types of demons. Some provide power, some harm you physically, some are strong and fierce, some are weak and cowering, some come in packs, some try to hide, while others openly declare themselves.

So by now…..hopefully you are reading the Bible and not just taking my word for this……but by now you should know more about demons than you did. For those that already knew most of this, GREAT. Now ask yourself how often you hear the church discuss demons? How often do you hear the pastor talk of casting out demons? This is something the Jesus did all the time along with healing the sick and preaching the Word. This is something that Jesus commissioned. So why does this Biblical teaching get downplayed? Because the next part terrifies many.

How do demons get in?

How do demons find away to attack us? How do they get in? How do they pick who to attack? How do they attack children as well as adults? Why are these questions so terrifying? Because the answer will show that a lot of times we are responsible for the demons that attack and attach themselves to our children. Who wants to face that reality? The reality that our choices, how we move about this Earth, who we choose to be and choose to serve, open up children to demonic attacks.

This is where many will tune out and not want to hear the truth.

The Devil/Satan chooses the weakest moments and attacks us where we are most vulnerable. So it is with demons. They attack at the weakest of moments and attach themselves to the parts of our character or personality that are weak or that are not good. What is weaker that a baby? What is easier to attach to than a personality that hasn’t developed yet. The most vulnerable parts of us is sometimes our children. Who is responsible for protecting a child against all harm? We are. When we have a child we are responsible for more than just feeding it, clothing it, sheltering it, loving it, and protecting it physically. What about the other influences? We are also responsible for the spiritual well being of a child. Many people don’t want to face that responsibility. Do you know what a generational curse is? Do you understand the statement that “the sins of the father are visited on the son”? Do you realize that the demons you may be dealing with can and will most likely will attack your children? This is why people are scared of knowing the truth about things like demons. When you find out the truth, you find out that you have more responsibility than you may have realized. The truth makes you examine your life and the direct affect it may have on your children. The truth makes you stand up and face your shortcomings as they pertain to protecting your children from demons or makes you cower in fear. Your choice. So in order to protect you children and yourselves from demonic attack, you have to get knowledge on demons. Not just from this blog but through research, reading, and even prayer. Demons get in through more than just our children. I just wanted to highlight an area that many do not consider.

Here are some other ways demons get in or attach themselves to our character and personalities:

Prenatal influences - drugs, alcohol, sinful sex, dealings with the supernatural

Emotional shock or sustained emotional pressure - death in the family or a tragic event

sinful acts or habits - a sinful act may open you up to demonic attack but a sinful lifestyle is a flashing VACANCY sign

Generational curse - a curse of punishment that will be visited on your children, their children, their children and their children. Usually but not limited to 4 generations. Let me paint a picture on this one. 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, 16 great-great-grandparents which total 30 people who could be a channel through whom we may have been exposed to demonic influence.

Pressures in early childhood - a nasty divorce is a good example or this. Two adults in a nasty conflict can subject a child demonic attack. Custody battles, forced hatred of one parent, pitting a child against a parent, etc.

Laying on of hands - if the person that is laying on hands is under demonic influence those demons can gain access to the other person. Also if a person that is laying hands on a person under demonic influence and is weak and fighting demons themselves…….the demon may find them to be a better host and enter them.

The occult, witchcraft, false religions - ouija boards, greek mythology, signs and symbols of devil worship, statues of other gods, tarot cards, even those practices that offer a secret knowledge

Those are some of the ways demons get in and how they attack us at weak points or in weak areas.

There are many things that we take for granted that may allow us to fall under demonic attack. There are many things that subject children to demonic attacks. That is why the power of prayer is underrated. The prayers of the saints may not have kept some from committing sin but may have kept demons from attaching themselves to the sinner. The prayers of others may be what keeps a persons heart from being heartened. Yet prayer will not keep a person from judgment. Prayer and blessings over a child, teaching them the Word, and raising them up proper, and instilling the love of God in them early is a way to protect them from demonic attacks. You also have to be able to acknowledge when demons are attacking or have attached themselves to a child’s character or personality. We have a greater responsibility to our children than most of us realize.

OK, BUT HAVING A SHOW THAT TEACHES CORRECTIVE ACTION, MORALES, AND LESSONS IS DIFFERENT THAN A SHOW THAT MAKES FUN OF OR IS JUST FOR LAUGHS.

CLOWING IS APART OF FAMILY LIFE. MOST OF US GET THAT. THE COSBY SHOW WAS A FAMILY SHOW THAT HAPPEN TO BE FUNNY. IT MAY NOT HAVE REPRESENTED ALL FAMILIES BUT IT WAS NOT BAFOONERY. GOOD TIMES WAS A FAMILY SHOW THAT WAS FUNNY AT TIMES BUT IT WAS NOT BAFOONERY. MARRIED WITH CHILDREN WAS A COMEDY THAT USED A FAMILY. IT USED DUMB IGNORANT PEOPLE TO DO DUMB IGNORANT STUFF. IT TOOK THOSE SITUATIONS AND GOT PEOPLE LAUGHING AT THE WORST PARTS OF THE BUNDY FAMILY BEHAVIOR. THERE ARE SHOWS THAT USE A FAMILY SETTING FOR (MOSTLY) COMEDY. BAFOONERY CATEGORY! THERE ARE SHOWS THAT SHOW FAMILY LIFE, TEACH MORALES, AND LESSONS THAT HAPPEN TO BE FUNNY.

SO FOR ME IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE TYLER PERRY SHOWS ARE TRYING TO BE!!!!!

FUNNY HOW TWO GOOD FAMILY SHOWS DIDNT GET THE SUPPORT OR RECOGNITION THAT SHOWS WITH OVER THE TOP CLOWNING OR BAFOONERY GET.

This blog has been a long time coming. In this blog we will discuss what demons are, the terminology used in the Word, how words are misused or lost in translation, and types of demons. Please feel free to share your thoughts on demons and wether or not you believe demons exist!

Terminology- Evil spirit beings who are used often in Satan's warfare against humanity. Two words are translated that represent demons but are often translated or used incorrectly. Daimon and Daimonion! These two words are normally translated to the same English word: Demon. However, the original King James Version translated daimonion as Devil. The actual word for Devil would be Diabolos. So there is one Devil and many demons. The words should not be confused but this happens with translations. Daimon is the primary and diamonion is a derivative. The derivative Diamonion occurs about 60 times in the gospels, Acts, and Revelations. Daimon is used once in Matthew 8:31 where it is mistranslated to devils. Again the correct translation for devils would be diabolos. Let's not get caught up in the word play. Just know that Demons and the Devil are separate intities. One Devil/Satan! Many demons. Other terminology used to explain or respresent demons are unclean spirits and evil spirits. Another word that is mistranslated that deals directly with demons is the verb diamonizo with translates to English as demonize. It means "to subject to demonic influence" or "to be demonized." But it is mistranslated to "to be possessed of or with a devil or devils." This is incorrect because the word for devil is diabolos. Why is that such a big deal? It is different to say you are subject to demonic influence than to say you are possessed by a demon or to even say you are possessed by the Devil. The Anti-Christ will be indwelt by The Devil/Satan. Judas may have been possessed for a period of time by Satan but how many people could actually say that Satan himself entered them and possessed them. Many will be and are possessed by demons. Even more, are subject to demonic influence. We constantly are under attack from demonic influence. See the difference and the importance of establishing the true meaning of demons and demonize.

I am somewhat torn on this issue. How many people know the history of Halloween? How it originated, what it celebrates, and who gets the glory of the celebration…….

Is God anywhere in Halloween?

We allow our children in our society to participate in this event but why? Really….why? I know it seems so harmless on some levels and it is so commercialized but does that make it ok? Dressing up as ghouls, goblins, demons, and promoting fear…..is that good?

I know that children getting candy is not a bad thing. I know that costume dressing is harmless based on the selection of the costume. I know that going to a carnival and enjoying the caramel apples, bobbing for apples, cake walks, and candy, is not bad.

However is Halloween ok if you only participate in the ok parts of it or the parts that seem harmless? Or is it wrong all together to participate in something that doesn’t praise, worship, or have God anywhere in it?

This is not to judge anyone. I am weighing this topic in my head. What are your thoughts on Halloween? What do you know about it? Do you participate? Why? I would love to get a lot of different views and perspectives on the subject.

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS STORY?

There was a guy trying to date this woman and she gave him the number and said they would get to know each other. They made plans to go out and when the time came she didn’t answer the phone. A few days passed and when the guy finally talk to her she explained that she didn’t lie….she just changed her mind. So they went out a few times and one night she was suppose to spend the night but right after they started getting hot and heavy she got up to leave. 1 a.m. and she heads for the door. He told her that she lied but she corrected him and explained that she changed her mind. The guy would get upset but because he liked her so much he allowed this to continue for a few months. At times she would go against what she had said she would do but would always dismiss the thought that she lied by explaining that she changed her mind.

After awhile she had grown fond of the man and realized he was a good dude. Well, the night that they were suppose to make love, she was more than ready. He had prepared the most romantic scene. Rose pedals, whine, candles, soft music, etc. She was overwhelmed. She knew she was wrong in how she had acted and decided to treat him a little. She started giving him head. The more he got into it the more she got into it. She raised up and said remember not to cum in my mouth. He moaned ok. She got serious with it. Next thing you know he busted right in her mouth. She snatched it out and he skeeted some in her face and in her hair. She was pissed. She called him a lying so and so. He got up and wiped himself off and started putting on his clothes. She questioned where the hell he was going. She was ranting about him saying he would never nut in a woman’s mouth that didn’t want him to. That he had said several times he would not nut in her hair or in her face. He explained that he didn’t lie….he just changed his mind. She went off saying that they were suppose to make love all night and he was leaving so he lied about that. He explained that he changed his mind. He left saying that if he changed his mind about being with her he would let her know…..unless he changed his mind about letting her know.

This is a two fold blog, but it will be good. Take the time to give your input or your thoughts please.

First part is a scenario with questions: You meet a person and date them. They tell you everything about themselves and they tell the truth. They confess to you that they do not know who there father is. Or both parents. (Maybe they were adopted, father was a rolling stone, or they were conceived by technological assistance) Whatever the case, they admit that they do honestly know who one or both of their parents are. So you and this person fall in love and are together for a number of years. One day they decide to research and find out who their parents are. After doing the research and paying for services, they find out that yall are related. The person you have been with turns out to be your sibling, cousin, or some other BLOOD relative. What do you do? What factors do you consider? What if you have had children?

Part two: Many of you are probably grossed out or think that this could never happen to you. I beg to differ. I think it happens more than we care to admit. Why? Check this out. When a man donates sperm, he does so anonymously right? When people get married, all places do not require a blood test. People lay down and sleep with each other with out knowing names let alone family history. We used to have to give a rundown of who our people were, when we went to date a person. Now with so much technology and men being able to plant seeds all over……how would you know? Ever wonder why retardation rates boom? Nowadays a man could sleep with his daughter and not even know it. He gets her mom pregnant and dips town with out knowing. She doesn’t know who he really is just a name. He is 40. His daughter is 20. The at a club in a state neither of them grew up. They hook up. Don’t think it could happen to you huh? Think again. Our society has no accountability for sex. Top that off with the lies and secrets families keep. What happens if you were adopted and never knew and end up dating someone that you had no clue was your blood relative? It happens more than we care to know.

I suggest getting a blood test before marriage at least. I also recommend trying to find out about a person’s family background before laying down.

If I go an donate my sperm, and 10 women get my sperm and have babies, aren’t those babies siblings whether they know it or not? Something to think about.

ZURICH, Switzerland (CNN) -- Woody Allen, Pedro Almodovar and Martin Scorsese have "demanded the immediate release" of fellow filmmaker Roman Polanski, who was arrested in Switzerland on a U.S. arrest warrant related to a 1977 child sex charge.

They were among 138 people in the film industry who signed a petition against the arrest.

Polanski was on the way to the Zurich Film Festival when Swiss police detained him in response to the American warrant.

The filmmaker pleaded guilty in 1977 to having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor but fled before he could be sentenced. He settled in France, where he holds citizenship. Investigators in the United States say Polanski, then 43, drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl.

The filmmakers objected to his being arrested en route to the film festival, which held a tribute to him this year.

"It seems inadmissible to them that an international cultural event, paying homage to one of the greatest contemporary filmmakers, is used by the police to apprehend him," said the petition, backed by France's Societe des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques (Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers).

"The arrest of Roman Polanski in a neutral country, where he assumed he could travel without hindrance ... opens the way for actions of which no one can know the effects," said the signatories, who also included actresses Monica Bellucci and Tilda Swinton and directors David Lynch, Jonathan Demme, John Landis, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Wim Wenders.

In the United States, powerhouse movie producer Harvey Weinstein is trying to recruit more supporters for Polanksi.

"We are calling every filmmaker we can to help fix this terrible situation," his company told CNN in a statement.

Polanski has filed an appeal against his extradition to the United States, Swiss authorities said. They added that they would act on the case within weeks.

Polanski won an Academy Award for Best Director in 2003 for "The Pianist." He was nominated for a Best Director Oscar for "Tess" and "Chinatown," and Best Writing for "Rosemary's Baby," which he also directed. See examples of Polanski's work »

On Monday, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said that he hoped authorities would respect Polanski's rights "and that the affair [will] come to a favorable resolution," the ministry said in a statement.

The French culture and communications minister, Frederic Mitterrand, said he "learned with astonishment" of Polanski's arrest and expressed solidarity with Polanski's family.

Polanski, 76, was arrested Saturday on his arrival at Zurich's airport.

A provisional arrest warrant had been issued last week out of Los Angeles, California, after authorities learned that he was going to be in Switzerland, Sandi Gibbons, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, said Sunday.

In a written statement, Polanski's California counsel said Monday that "an issue related to the Swiss extradition matter is presently being litigated before the California Court of Appeal. We had hoped that this would be determinative of this case."

"We were unaware of any extradition being sought, and separate counsel will be retained for those proceedings."

The lawyers -- Douglas Dalton, Chad Hummel and Bart Dalton -- said prior deputy district attorneys had told them that no efforts were being made to extradite Polanski, who "owned a home in Switzerland for many years and worked throughout Europe during that time."

There have been repeated attempts to settle the case over the years, but the sticking point has always been Polanski's refusal to return to the United States to attend hearings. Prosecutors have consistently argued that it would be a miscarriage of justice to allow a man who "drugged and raped a 13-year-old child" to go free.

The Swiss Justice Ministry said Polanski was "in provisional detention." But whether he can be extradited to the United States "can be established only after the extradition process judicially has been finalized," ministry spokesman Guido Balmer said in an e-mail.

"It is possible to appeal at the federal penal court of justice against an arrest warrant in view to extradition as well as against an extradition decision," Balmer wrote. "Their decisions can be taken further to the federal court of justice."

Gibbons said the extradition process will be determined in Switzerland but said authorities are ready to move forward with Polanski's sentencing, depending on what happens in Zurich.

Polanski was accused of plying the teenage girl with champagne and a sliver of a Quaalude tablet and performing various sex acts, including intercourse, with her during a photo shoot at actor Jack Nicholson's house.

Nicholson was not at home.

Polanski's lawyers tried this year to have the charges thrown out, but a judge in Los Angeles rejected the request. However, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza left the door open to reconsider his ruling if Polanski shows up in court.

Espinoza also appeared to acknowledge problems with the way the director's case was originally handled.

According to court documents, Polanski, his lawyer and the prosecutor thought they'd worked out a deal that would spare Polanski from prison and let the young victim avoid a public trial.

But the original judge in the case, who is now dead, first sent the director to maximum-security prison for 42 days while he underwent psychological testing. Then, on the eve of his sentencing, the judge told attorneys he was inclined to send Polanski back to prison for another 48 days.

Polanski fled the United States for France, where he was born.

In the February hearing, Espinoza mentioned a documentary film, "Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired," that depicts backroom deals between prosecutors and a media-obsessed judge who was worried his image would suffer if he didn't send Polanski to prison. The documentary was first broadcast in June 2008.

"It's hard to contest some of the behavior in the documentary was misconduct," Espinoza said. But he declined to dismiss the case.

Polanski's victim long ago came forward and made her identity public, mainly saying she was disturbed by how the criminal case had been handled.

Samantha Geimer, now 45 and a married mother of three, sued Polanski and received an undisclosed settlement. She is among those calling for the case to be tossed out. Watch Geimer speak about the incident »

In court papers filed in January, she said, "I am no longer a 13-year-old child. I have dealt with the difficulties of being a victim, have surmounted and surpassed them with one exception.

"Every time this case is brought to the attention of the court, great focus is made of me, my family, my mother and others. That attention is not pleasant to experience and is not worth maintaining over some irrelevant legal nicety, the continuation of the case."
